05/24/11 Courtney Carroll pitched a three-hitter and notched her second shutout of the season for the Bishop Stang softball team, which qualified for the state tournament with a 15-0 non-conference win over visiting Westport on Tuesday.

Hats, 'Cats learn tourney fates today

05/30/11 Atlantic Sun Conference regular-season champion Stetson was not chosen as an NCAA regional host Sunday, but the Hatters (41-18) are expected to get an at-large bid to the NCAA Division I baseball tournament today when pairings are announced. Six-time Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference champion Bethune-Cookman (36-23) also will learn where it is heading for regional tournament play.
