Poinciana's boys hope to continue fast start in Great Florida Shootout

Osceola drops first-round game in Great Florida Shootout

12/28/10 Lake Highland Prep extends winning streak. Oviedo coach Ed Kershner still needs a win to tie state coaching record. Despite a game-high 23 points from Michael Sanchez, Osceola (6-4) could not hold off Maryland's Bishop McNamara in Monday's 68-63 opening round loss in the Great Florida Shootout at Silver Spurs Arena.

Holiday basketball tournament report: Lake Highland in Great Florida Shootout final

12/30/10 Jones won the Lake's Great Eight title at Eustis. Lake Highland Prep advanced to the final of the Great Florida Shootout in Kissimmee with a 56-53 victory against Melbourne Holy Trinity. The Highlanders will play Bishop McNamara, Md., in the final at 8:30 Thursday night at Silver Spurs Arena.
