Md. woman drowns after raft flips

07/17/11 A rafter drowned Saturday in the New River after an Alpine Adventures raft overturned in the Class III Upper Railroad Rapid around 11:30 a.m., reported Jeff West, chief ranger for the New River Gorge National River.
