Woman pleads not guilty to statutory rape charge

09/23/09 QUEENSBURY - An AuSable Forks woman has pleaded not guilty to charges that she had sex with a 16-year-old boy. Joey Strong, 35, has been charged with third-degree rape, unlawfully dealing with a minor and endangering the welfare of a child, said Warren County District Attorney Kate Hogan.

    Evans pleads guilty to Blombergh murder

    07/19/11 After a little over a year behind bars, Roy Herman Evans, 44, has pleaded guilty to murdering 28-year-old Sunday Blombergh. District Attorney Paul Bowden said Tuesday morning that Evans pleaded guilty to malice murder late Monday afternoon at the Tift County Law Enforcement Center; Judge Melanie Cross sentenced Evans to life in prison. Evans will be eligible for parole after 30 years.
