Soldier from region killed in Afghanistan

07/04/11 A U.S. Army soldier from Indiana died Friday in Afghanistan of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit using a homemade bomb, the Department of Defense said.Pfc. James A. Waters, 21, died in Kandahar province in Afghanistan , military officials said. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion of the 32nd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, N.Y.
