Firearms stolen

05/27/11 Firearms valued in excess of $2,000 were reported stolen from a local residence in a Thursday burglary now under investigation by Cordele Police Department officers. The victim, who resides in the 600 block of First Ave. E., told Sgt. Wayne Hubbard he arrived home just after 6 p.m. to find a door in the residence had been knocked down in damage estimated at $500.
