Other news09/06/10 Firefighters faced the obstacle of a rugged terrain Wednesday while fighting a fire in the Cedar Canyon Wildlife Management area north of the Wildcat Hills outside of Gering. Firefighters had to walk to the area, as the trucks could not get to the fire.
11/11/10 Two vehicles sustained damage after striking a moose Friday near the Wildcat Hills game reserve. According to the Nebraska State Patrol, Troy Freeburg, 62, of Bushnell suffered $3,500 damage to his 2010 GMC Acadia after striking the moose near the Wildcat Hills game reserve.
