11/10/09 The Northeast Lauderdale girls basketball team overcame a slow first quarter Tuesday to race past visiting Choctaw Central 67-39. The Trojans, who trailed 12-7 following the opening period, grabbed a 35-18 halftime lead and upped their advantage to 51-24 heading into the fourth.

The Warriors fell 57-54 to last year's runner-up Ripley.
