 09/29/09 The McCook Pantry plans its annual fall food drive Saturday. Pantry volunteers report that 735 McCook and area families have been served by the Pantry so far this year. Usage of the Pantry has increased over the past four years, from 5,500 people served in 2005 to 6,629 people served in 2008.

 09/02/09 Dense fog has settled over parts of eastern Colorado and western Kansas and Nebraska, reducing visibility to a quarter mile or less in some areas. The National Weather Service has issued a fog advisory until 10 a.m. Wednesday. Colorado towns affected include Yuma and Wray.

 08/10/09 Despite just coming off of a full moon, most everything lined up well for a good night of racing at Lincoln County Raceway August 8. The temperature was not too hot for the fans, the track rolled in well for a decent surface for the drivers, and the races were completed by 10 PM for everyone.
