Other news06/09/11 Alex Totusek of Omaha defeated Erik Krzyzanowski of Scottsbluff 2 and 1 to earn the championship of the Nebraska Junior Match Play on Thursday at Oakland Country Club. Totusek never fell below 4-up, making a birdie on the 23rd hole. The win give Totusek his first Nebraska Golf Association title.
06/23/11 Calvin Freeman of Table Rock and Taylor Hill of Council Bluffs, Iowa, each qualified for the Junior PGA Championships, set for Aug. 2-5 in Fort Wayne, Ind., after winning the Nebraska Junior PGA Championship on Thursday at The Golf Club at Table Creek in Nebraska City. Freeman shot a final-round 69 for a two-day 143, and Hill finished with a 160.
