Sharon Springs standout will sit out season

04/17/11 Sharon Springs junior Hallie Kuhlman suffered a knee injury in the Wildcats' first-round game against Wilson at the Class 1A, Division II state basketball tournament in early March. Kuhlman re-entered the game twice before she couldn't continue. At the time, no one knew the extent of the injury.

Historic byway springs to life

05/01/11 Officially spread across 102 miles, the Western Vistas Historic byway is offering the opportunity to see and touch a slice of the state's history. A "drive the byway" weekend is planned for Saturday and Sunday, with a host of events scheduled from Scott City to Oakley to Sharon Springs.
