The deal, which the SportsBusiness Journal in May reported is worth $1.86 billion, will go into effect for the 2011-12 college athletics season and will run through 2022-23.
07/08/10 Contract, reportedly worth $1.86 billion, will more than double ACC's TV revenue. The Atlantic Coast Conference and ESPN formally announced on Thursday a 12-year agreement that ACC Commissioner John Swofford said would double the TV revenue the conference currently receives. The agreement makes ESPN the sole rights holder for ACC football and men's basketball, as well as other sports.
