Officials: Flooding will get worse

07/07/11 The North Platte Telegraph Emergency officials have a better idea of what's ahead for the North Platte River, following Central Nebraska Public Power and Irrigation District's monthly board meeting Monday. Cory Steinke, CNPPID civil engineer, said it appears that the worst is yet to come.

Semi-truck, RV collide, man killed

07/17/11 An man died in a fiery two-vehicle wreck in the early morning hours Sunday on Interstate-80 between Gothenburg and Cozad. A westbound semi-truck and trailer rant into the back of a westbound motor home around 4:15 a.m., causing both vehicles to jackknife and hit a Platte River Bridge railing.
