    07/16/11 The body of slain priest Edward Everitt was laid to rest in Hammond, LA. A funeral was held Saturday afternoon for Father Everitt at his parish, the Holy Ghost Catholic Church. Friday night, hundreds turned out to a visitation at the church to say their final goodbyes to the priest.
