    We can't afford to let education fall by wayside

    02/02/11 I recently e-mailed Gov. Perdue and President Obama concerning education in both North Carolina and the United States as a whole. As a career educator and a baby-boomer, I am pleading with Gov. Perdue to do everything she can to keep the one-cent tax that is already in place so as to lessen the impact of any budget cuts.
