10/02/09 The State Bureau of Investigation has agreed to give almost $4 million to a former North Carolina death row inmate who sued after he spent nine years behind bars before being acquitted at a new trial.

10/02/09 A conservation agreement has been reached to protect 336 acres in the South Carolina mountains. The Greenville News reported the preservation group Upstate Forever announced the agreement Thursday for the land next to Oconee State Park and the Sumter National Forest.
