12/06/09 Maxine Elmberg Butler died at the age of 98 on Nov. 21, 2009. She had been residing in Yarmouth, Maine, at an assisted living facility for nearly two years. For the preceding two decades, she lived at Highland Farms, a retirement community in Black Mountain, N.C.
