    Voice of the Detroit Tigers heard near and far

    05/06/10 Like many lifetime Detroit Tiger and Ernie fans, I was saddened to learn of his passing. I moved to the Boston area in 1986 but still followed my Tigers. The first few years of living here, late at night, driving in the more open areas of Boston, I could pick up WJR's signal and catch the last few innings of Tiger games and of course the voice.
