Beaumont man charged with attempted murder for stabbing man he found with ex

Police Department arrived at the home at 2:35 a.m. Monday, they found a man who had been stabbed several times, said Capt. Curt Cahoon with the Sulphur Police Department. The Beaumont man was booked into Sulphur City Jail and charged with home invasion and attempted second-degree murder, Cahoon said.

Fire damages barn at Addison miniature donkey farm

07/13/11 Spontaneous combustion likely caused a barn fire at a miniature donkey farm in Addison County this afternoon, according to the fire chief. An old, wooden silo next to the barn housed about five feet of old silage, which Addison Fire Chief Chris Mulliss suspects sparked the fire.
