07/24/10 McLennan County workers remove debris in preparation for a new bridge in Bruceville-Eddy on Franklin near Pine Street. The old wooden bridge is beginning to bow and needs to be replaced before school begins, as the street is used by school buses, local officials said.
07/24/10 9:30 p.m., 9200 block of Chianti Way (central Elk Grove): Elk Grove police arrested Andrew Szyntar, 30, on suspicion of having a warrant and possessing drug paraphernalia. Officers reportedly found him in the shed of a vacant home and learned there was a warrant for his arrest.
07/24/10 12:32 a.m., 9000 block of Grant Line Road (Sheldon): Elk Grove police arrested Christopher Blalock, 27, of Elk Grove on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Officers contacted him during a traffic stop and determined he was intoxicated.
07/22/10 4:30 p.m., 9300 block of Elk Grove-Florin Road (central Elk Grove): Elk Grove police arrested Jay Hatfield, 50, of Sacramento on suspicion of having a warrant. He was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail.
