Clarinda cheerleaders honored at UCA summer camp

08/13/10 The CHS Cheer Squad participated in their annual Universal Cheerleaders Association summer cheerleading camp July 28-30. A UCA instructor gave all fourteen cheerleaders private instruction in the areas of motion technique, dance, jumps, stunting technique and safety, cheers, conditioning, and game etiquette. The three-day camp was held at Clarinda High School from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Briggs to Afghanistan

05/07/11 Jason Briggs, a 1993 graduate of Clarinda High School, has been notified by the George Washington University School of Law, Washington, D.C., that his Masters Thesis has been accepted and that he will have conferred upon him the Degree of Master of Law on May 13, 2011. Jason also holds a BA Degree in Political Science from the University of Iowa and a JD Degree from the Creighton School of Law.
