The Mighty Nish focus of clean-up effort in July

05/19/10 COUNTY -- Dozens of volunteers will descend on Shelby County this summer as part of a project to help clean up the Nishnabotna River, from just south of Corley all the way to Red Oak.

06/20/11 With wave after wave of storms crossing Iowa, officials in Fremont County in southwest Iowa are watching the Nishnabotna River as well as the Missouri River.

Two Levee Breaches Reported in Missouri

06/24/11 Missouri River Federal Levee L-550 breached Thursday evening, June 23, at about 8:45 p.m. near Watson, Mo. The levee has been overtopping for several days at a different location. The breach is located about 2 miles downs stream of the Nishnabotna River. The local sponsor and authorities are notifying local residents.
