MSU's Carver Passed Over for Award

06/28/11 We told you Monday that Midwestern State's Savannah Carver was a finalist for an award in her hometown of Amarillo. We can update that Tuesday, unfortunately, she did not wind up taking home the Dick Bynum Award, which went to University of Oklahoma volleyball player Brianne Barker.

Baylor hires new men's basketball assistant after Mark Morefield resigns

07/19/11 Former Baylor basketball player and ex-Midwestern State coach Grant McCasland will be an assistant on Scott Drew's staff. He replaces former assistant Mark Morefield, who allegedly violated NCAA text message recruiting rules.
