10/31/10 BURLINGTON, Iowa (AP) - Iowa State Patrol officials say a 68-year-old Iowa man has died after falling out of the bed of a pickup truck. Atlantic radio station KJAN-AM reports that Danny Smith of Burlington was sitting in a chair in the back of a 2008 Ford pickup.

Hunter kills bear during hunt

12/23/10 FRANKFORT, Ky. - A Pike County man became the first hunter in 100 years to kill a black bear in Kentucky during a legal hunt. Danny Smith, a 35-year-old from Phelps, killed the 265-pound black bear on Saturday in Pike County.
