Hazardous waste to be collected today in Waukee

05/14/11 Waukee, Ia. - Metro Waste Authority's "Clean Up Crew" will collect household hazardous waste from 8 a.m. to noon today at Waukee Middle School, 905 Warrior Lane. Residents from the entire Metro Waste Authority service area can take lead- and oil-based paints; chemicals such as insecticides, poisons and solvents; lawn products, CFLs and cleaners for proper disposal.

No garbage or recycling collection on Independence Day

06/28/11 Metro Waste will not collect trash, yard waste or recycling carts for residents in central Iowa Monday, July 4. Collections will be pushed back one day all week. Residents who have garbage and recycling collection on Friday will have it on Saturday.
