07/11/11 The Cumberland Rotary Club has welcomed a new face to head the group in its 90th anniversary year. In the annual induction ceremony held at the Cumberland Country Club, Stephen Nelson was appointed as club president.

Medicaid cuts latest challenge for Lake City hospital

07/18/11 Dr. Stephen W. Askins told members and guests at a July 15 meeting of the Lake City Rotary Club that Medicaid cuts will cause the hospital to lose more than $350,000 a year. The hospital has already lost $1.8 million dollars from the state as a result of funding cuts to rural hospitals across the state.
