Head-on collision on FM 50 kills two

05/20/11 Two men died in a head-on collision Thursday on FM 50, authorities said. The accident occurred about 6:45 a.m. in Burleson County. According to Texas Department of Public Safety reports, the driver of a 1998 Chevrolet Blazer crossed into the southbound lane and collided head-on with a 2007 Toyota.

06/10/11 A hit and run was reported at 300 Godfrey Ave. SE. A front quarter panel on a 2011 Hyundai Elantra, valued at $500, was reported damaged. Criminal mischief was reported at 200 Medical Center Drive SW. The gas tank on a 2002 Chevrolet Blazer, valued at $100, was reported damaged.

Accident leaves one dead, two injured

06/30/11 A Somerset woman is dead after the Chevrolet Blazer she was riding in reportedly collided head-on Tuesday with a Mack truck. Christy L. Dick, 32, was taken to St. Joseph Hospital Berea and then airlifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center, where she succumbed to the injuries suffered in the accident, according to a news release from Kentucky State Police.
