04/24/11 The Diablo Valley College baseball team improved to 23-7 overall and 12-3 in Big 8 play with a 6-3 win over visiting Sierra College on April 15. Normally the team's closer, Jason Kochan stepped up and delivered a complete-game, striking out 10. The win meant that the Vikings began the week with a two-game lead in the conference standings over Sierra and Cosumnes River.
05/04/11 Phillip Roa hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the 11th inning to lift Cosumnes River College past visiting Fresno City College 3-2 in a California Community College Northern California Regional play-in baseball game for coach Tony Bloomfield's 600th career win Tuesday.
