Briefing in August will cover sewage expansion, transport

07/13/11 The City Council plans an informational briefing next month to discuss expansion plans at the Sand Island Wastewater Treatment Plant and the city's announcement that it will haul raw sewage sludge from Honolulu to outlying areas to relieve overcapacity issues at the facility, Council Chairman Ernie Martin said.

City waits to increase sludge runs

07/17/11 Amid legal questions and with a public informational briefing set for next month, the city is moving ahead with planning for the temporary trucking of raw sewage sludge from its Sand Island Wastewater Treatment facility to treatment plants in Honouliuli, Kailua and Waianae.
