    01/07/10 The Newtown High School hockey team improved to 3-1 after defeating Fitch/East Lyme on December 29 and topping Watertown/Pomperaug on January 2. The Nighthawks blanked Fitch/East Lyme 5-0 at Connecticut College in New London. Five players scored in the victory.
