    Tuesday's girls basketball roundup: Law knocks off Hillhouse; Weston rolls past Masuk

    01/27/10 NEW HAVEN -- Casey Dulin scored 17 points and Amanda Keator added 11 to lead Law to a 54-49 SCC victory over Hillhouse Tuesday night. Law improved to 10-4 with the win, while it was only the second loss in 13 starts for the Academics.

    01/23/10 TRUMBULL -- Julian Sanders had 25 points, Max Coleman 21 and Rejdi Canaj 13 to lift Trumbull to a 71-64 FCIAC victory over McMahon in overtime Friday night. Trumbull improved to 7-4 overall and 5-4 in the conference.

    Cancer-treatment centers in region

    01/21/10 There is no shortage of cancer-treatment centers in Connecticut. But, according to the state Department of Public Health , there is a need for the medical facilities. There were more than 52,000 new cancer cases in both Fairfield and New Haven counties between 2001 and 2005, the agency reports.
