Heavy rains cause widespread flooding

06/23/11 Flash flooding presented a major problem across Southwestern Connecticut on Thursday afternoon as heavy rain swept through the region, soaking streets, taking down trees and power lines, and causing chaos for drivers on local roads.

07/15/11 Southwestern Connecticut will continue to bask in warm, sunny weather today -- and right on through the weekend. The National Weather Service even predicts the balmy stretch should continue until the middle of next week.
