THIS WEEK: Information session on energy to be held

03/01/11 State Rep. Josh Shapiro, D-153, and representatives from the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission and PECO are hosting a free information session for the public on how best to choose an energy provider. The free information session will be held March 2, 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Abington Township Public Safety Training Facility, 2200 Florey Lane, Abington.

Bill to amend Pennsylvania Human Relations Act reintroduced

05/09/11 State Rep. Josh Shapiro, D-153, recently stood with his House and Senate colleagues at a press conference in Harrisburg to announce the re-introduction of H.B. 300, which would amend the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act to provide statewide protections against discrimination in employment and housing based on sexual orientation and gender identity or expression.
