Marjorie Davis Borders Was The Center Of A Family Full Of Black Trailblazers

01/16/10 Marjorie Borders was a trailblazer with deep Hartford roots. Her grandfather owned a plot of land in the southern part of the city, which was possible at the time because he looked white. One uncle taught at Howard University in Washington, a pre-eminent black institution, while another founded the Urban League in Boston and Washington.
