    Fairfield adds three new police officers

    08/16/09 FAIRFIELD -- Three new Police Department recruits were sworn in last week.The three, James Baker, of Fairfield; Evan Kaesman, of Trumbull; and Matthew J. Riendeau, of New Milford, will bring the town's uniformed officer strength to 102, officials said.

    Dogs, owners have a field day in Norwich

    08/16/09 Sunday was the annual Wiener Dog Race at the baseball field, and fans were allowed to bring their dogs to the Connecticut Defenders game. At least 35 dogs visited the park, milling about among the more than 1,000 fans.
