When confronted, the man allegedly pretended to be mentally slow and have a speech impediment, according to affidavits filed in Sumner County General Sessions Court.

    03/10/10 Billy Bridges, 65, of Franklin, remains in custody in West Tennessee where police say he lay in wait for his wife at an Interstate 40 rest stop then shot and stabbed her to death.
