07/18/11 The Lou Gehrig 11-under Red team won the Western New York State Cal Ripken and Babe Ruth Championship Tournament in Jamestown on Sunday. The team advanced to the Mid-Atlantic Regional in Warrington, Pa., on Aug. 6-10. The team went 4-0 and outscored opponents, 44-9.

07/19/11 Kate Marcille was recently selected for a 2011-2012 graduate fellowship in forest management and policy at Oregon State University. She also received a $3,000 Alfred Moltke Scholarship.
