Other news05/21/11 Let's put all of this snow to good use over Memorial Day Weekend. The top of Aspen Mountain will be open for skiing and riding on Memorial Day Weekend, May 28-30, Aspen Skiing Co. announced Thursday, a concession to locals who have endured one of the wettest springs on record.
05/30/11 Aspen Mountain will reopen for skiing this weekend with a better base depth of snow on Memorial Day than it had on New Year's Day. The base depth has hovered around 70 inches at the mountain-top since the Aspen Skiing Co. announced last week it will extend the skiing season.
