Michter's to open West Main Street distillery

07/06/11 A bourbon distillery is coming to West Main Street in downtown Louisville. A company named Michter's will spend $7.8 million to rehabilitate the long-vacant Fort Nelson building at 8th and Main across from Louisville Slugger Museum.

Indians Belt Eleven Doubles to Beat Bats 10-1

07/08/11 LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The Indianapolis Indians pounded a Victory Field era record 11 doubles, including three from first baseman Matt Hague and two each from left fielder John Bowker and third baseman Pedro Alvarez, while starter Brad Lincoln struck out eight over seven innings to lead the Tribe to a 10-1 victory over the Louisville Bats on Friday night at Louisville Slugger Field.
