07/06/11 Drugstore chain Walgreen Co. on Wednesday reported that comparable store sales for June rose 4.8 percent, leading to a 6.8 percent increase in total sales for the month. Comparable store front-end sales increased 4.7 percent and comparable pharmacy sales rose 4.9 percent. The company's total sales for June grew to $6.04 billion from $5.65 billion in the same period of the previous year.
