Centaurus High School students form ties with Darfuri refugees

05/05/10 Lafayette's Centaurus High School is in the process of forming ties with students living in a Darfuri refugee camp in the hopes of promoting cross-cultural understanding and improving the quality of education for youth in the war-torn region.

I Have a Dream celebrates Pioneer graduates in Lafayette

05/17/11 In 2000, about 40 Pioneer Elementary School second-graders were adopted as "Dreamers" and given a promise that the "I Have a Dream" program would support them through high school graduation and provide college scholarships. On Wednesday, 34 of those students are celebrating their high school graduations, mainly from Lafayette's Centaurus High School.
