Ruling by Linde backed in state appellate court decision

02/10/11 On Jan. 31, the Seattle-based appellate court struck down an appeal filed by Friends of the San Juans and, citing a ruling by Linde in the long-running dispute over a Pearl Island property owner's plans to build a dock, backed the former San Juan County Superior Court judge in determining that the dock indeed does deserve a permit.

Tsunami advisory in effect for Whidbey, Strait of Juan de Fuca, Admiralty Inlet

03/11/11 A tsunami advisory remains in effect for the entire Washington Coast as well as the Strait of Juan de Fuca, the Admiralty Inlet area, Whidbey Island and the San Juans on Friday morning after an 8.9-magnitude earthquake hit Japan on Thursday night.
