Follow up: Nearly 27,000 pounds of hazardous waste collected at Reclamation Day event

06/28/11 The Lake of the Ozarks Watershed Alliance published the results of its Household Hazardous Waste Reclamation Day, held on April 30. The group reported that 480 vehicles passed through the collection point in Camdenton in a 5-hour timeframe. Paint, chemicals, aerosol cans, oil and old batteries taken in the drive go to recyclers instead of landfills or illegal dumping sites.

WLSSD To Collect Unwanted Medication

07/15/11 Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) The Western Lake Superior Sanitary District (WLSSD) will host a free collection event for unwanted or expired medications at its regional Household Hazardous Waste Facility on Friday, July 22 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
