Other news04/01/11 Thursday March 31, 2011 BENNINGTON -- The proficiency targets Vermont schools needed to meet in order to make Adequate Yearly Progress took a substantial leap this year, as did the number of schools failing to meet the federal school accountability determination. Statewide, just 28 percent of schools met AYP this year, according to results released Thursday by the Department of Education.
