    Safeway, King Soopers workers agree to new deal

    02/05/10 About 3,000 unionized grocery workers at Safeway and King Soopers have voted to approve a new four-year contract. The union that represents the workers at Denver, Broomfield, Parker and Castle Pines say the store clerks and meat cutters approved the latest offer because it doesn't increase health insurance premiums for retired workers.
