Kenya: Hollywood Star Alfre Woodard Connects With Her Kenyan Roots

07/18/11 Hollywood actress Alfre Ette Woodard was recently in the country for a week long workshop with African filmmakers and actors. Woodward was part of the visiting delegation from The Academy of Motion Picture, Arts and Sciences (presenters of the 'Oscars') who participated in the 'One Fine Day Film Workshop' as part of their East African Outreach programme.

Food pantry hosting community barbecue

07/19/11 HUNTINGTON -- Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry at Beverly Hills United Methodist Church will host a community barbecue dinner from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, July 30. Dinner is $7 and includes barbecue, baked beans, cole slaw, potato salad, drink and dessert. All money raised will benefit the food pantry.
