06/22/11 The Turkey River has long been seen as a natural resource for tourism in Fayette and Clayton counties. Thanks to a grant through the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, the river will be soon be known as an official recreational hot-spot. Also making the trail waterway possible was the Turkey River Recreational Corridor, Iowa Great Places, and Iowa RC&D (Resource Conservation and Development).
