07/14/11 Selma has ended Sanger's dreams of reaching a Central California State Babe Ruth Tournament for the second year in a row.Selma's 14-year-olds needed five straight wins after a first round loss to Reedley in the Central California State Babe Ruth qualifier in Reedley last week and they did it.

Defense takes a holiday

07/16/11 In a game where defense for both teams was sorely missed, the Orcutt 14-year old All-stars won a slugfest 27-14 over Madera, on Day One of the Babe Ruth Central California State tournament played at Sinsheimer Stadium in San Luis Obispo Friday.
