Sonoma State ends HPU's bid for national repeat

05/15/11 Hawaii Pacific fought off elimination once yesterday. But the Sea Warriors couldn't escape a second time. In the fading daylight in Kaneohe, HPU's hopes of defending its Division II softball national championship evaporated with a 5-3 loss to Sonoma State at Howard A. Okita Field.

05/14/11 SOFTBALL: Sonoma State rallied to tie the game with two out in the seventh inning and pushed across the game-winner in the eighth to defeat the Red Storm 3-2 on day one of the NCAA West Regional, hosted by Hawaii Pacific University at Kaneohe, Hawaii.

05/19/11 Last night's Hawaii Pacific University's commencement exercises marked the beginning for 850 graduates and, for Chatt Wright, an end to 40 years with the school and 35 years as president of what is now Hawaii's largest private university.
