Ripken North All-Stars win state tournament

07/15/11 The Elk Grove Cal Ripken under-12 North All-Stars won the Northern California State Tournament in Napa earlier this month. Elk Grove went 5-1 in the double-elimination state tournament with wins of 21-4 over Galt, 3-2 and 18-10 over Concord, and 4-2 and 6-0 over Oakland.

MH 14s ousted at state

07/18/11 The Mountain Home Bombers' 14-year-old All-Star team was eliminated from the North Arkansas State Tournament Sunday with a 17-16, eight-inning loss to Van Buren at the Tyson Sports Complex in Springdale.
